We are looking for an experienced Returns Team Leader to join our Warehouse team and lead daily returns receiving, verification, inventory accuracy, product disposition, and team coordination activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily receiving and processing of returned products within the Central Warehouse.
- Verify returned quantities, item details, condition, return reasons, and supporting documents.
- Ensure returned products are correctly recorded in WMS/system records and maintain full traceability.
- Investigate and resolve quantity, item, documentation, and inventory discrepancies with Stock Control and relevant teams.
- Ensure returned products are properly segregated and classified based on condition and approved disposition.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for product condition assessment when required.
- Ensure damaged, expired, rejected, or non-conforming products are not returned to available stock without proper approval.
- Coordinate products approved for restocking, supplier return, disposal, or other approved disposition.
- Lead and allocate daily tasks based on return volumes, workload, and operational priorities.
- Monitor team productivity, accuracy, attendance, and compliance with warehouse procedures and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate return records and prepare daily/periodic operational reports.
- Monitor return KPIs, identify recurring issues, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Escalate significant return issues, quality concerns, or operational delays to the Inbound Manager.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, returns, inbound, inventory control, or a related field.
- Relevant Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics, or Supply Chain certification is an advantage.
- Previous Team Leader or operational coordination experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse returns, receiving, product verification, and inventory movements.
- Experience handling returned products and verifying quantity, condition, item details, and documentation.
- Good understanding of inventory accuracy, stock discrepancies, and WMS transactions.
- Knowledge of damaged stock, expiry control, product segregation, and disposition processes.
- Experience using WMS and warehouse operational systems.
- Strong leadership and ability to coordinate frontline warehouse teams and allocate daily workload.
- Good problem-solving, communication, organization, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment and support rotational shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
